The nearest food and pools were 10-15 min walk.… We walked several miles a day because the resort is so spread out. We often were told the shuttle will be here in a few minutes but gave up after 10 minutes and ended up walking. As others have said, the shuttle system is not great. There needs to be a few game rooms for kids to do pool, ping pong or other games when it is too hot to enjoy the pool. The beach was not nice for swimming as it is rocky and lots of seaweed. We did not see anyone using the courts all week so makes no sense to charge that kind of money. Our boys wanted to play tennis which cost them $40 for one hour. No options on site for lower priced food so every meal was around $25 per person, even for a simple hamburger with fries. We would spend around $12 at each meal just for water to drink. We had to pay for drinking water, even in our room. The Bad: We are a middle income family of four and did not expect the high cost of everything once at the resort. It truly was an amazing week for our family. Numerous food choices and all top quality food. All workers were there to serve you and are extremely nice. Jungle landscape and wood walkways are kept at top condition. The Good: Amazing resort in the jungle with numerous pools to enjoy. Talk with the tour desk and they can set you up. We brought our own firestick and it worked perfectly. I suggest packing a bathing suit in your carry on luggage. Maid service twice a day is great considering this is a timeshare! The staff is incredible. They say it is 1 hour, but a fellow resort guest told me it was 3 hours long. Otherwise you will get calls to your room. Note: When you check into the resort there will be a timeshare salesman. There are no paper towels or napkins in the room. You can take the transfer form the resort into Playa del Carmen and pick up items at the Mega store there. We took flat bottomed coffee filters and our own coffee, snacks, and such. The water and food from the store at the resort are pricy. They will stop at a 7 Eleven for water and food items. We took Etransfers to get us from the Cancun airport to the resort.
